The Egyptian State Council's administrative court has set 27 November as the verdict date in a lawsuit demanding the expulsion of Israel's ambassador in Egypt due to the continuous Israeli war on Gaza.

Lawyer Fahmy Bahgat filed the lawsuit against the country’s president, prime minister, and foreign minister.

The suit also calls for the cessation of all Egyptian-Israeli relations over the "heinous crimes committed by the Israeli entity," said Bahgat.

In his lawsuit, Bahgat expressed his understanding of “the Egyptian president’s leading national role and his support for the Palestinian cause; expelling the Israeli ambassador is the least response to the heinous crimes against the people of Gaza.”

Israel has killed over 11,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including 4,630 children and 3,130 women, since the beginning of its war on 7 October, according to Palestinian data.
