According to the statement, the interior ministry, in collaboration with relevant security agencies, uncovered through their investigations that a highly dangerous criminal element living in Fayed City planned to smuggle a significant quantity of narcotics across the Suez Canal.

The drugs were to be smuggled using a furniture transport vehicle, with plans to distribute them nationwide.

After legal procedures were approved and in coordination with the Ismailia Security Directorate, an ambush was set, leading to the arrest of the suspect while boarding the vehicle.

Legal actions have been initiated against the suspect, marking a significant victory for anti-narcotics efforts in Egypt.
