The ruling included lifting the names of eight individuals from the terrorism lists. These individuals include Mohamed Mahmoud Hassan, Ahmed Hanafi Mahmoud, Khaled Ragab, Mohamed Eid Al-Hawash, Ismail Shabaan, Younis Eid Younis, Mahmoud Hassan Siraj, and Ahmed Kamal Ahmed.

The court's ruling comes about three months after Egypt removed hundreds of others from the terrorism lists.

Additionally, on Monday, the Cairo Criminal Court removed the names of 121 other defendants from the terrorism listings associated with case number 321 of 2015, commonly referred to in the media as the 'Helwan Brigades' case.

The Helwan Brigades is a terrorist group that emerged in 2014, gaining attention after a video surfaced showing armed, masked men threatening to attack police in southern Cairo. The group is linked to a series of criminal activities between August 2013 and February 2015, including the premeditated murders of police officers and civilians.

The defendants faced various charges, including forming an illegal organization, sabotaging public facilities, inciting violations of the constitution and law, and preventing the state from fulfilling its duties. They were also accused of assaulting citizens' freedoms and undermining national unity.
