Egypt court extends terrorist listing of the Muslim Brotherhood for five years

Egypt’s Official Gazette on Tuesday published a Cairo Criminal Court ruling extending the inclusion of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Maydan Foundation, Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh, and several others on Egypt’s terrorism lists for an additional five years.

The court said the extension follows routine judicial reviews of individuals and entities on the lists and reflects “a continued justification for their designation.”

Earlier, the Criminal Court had removed 716 individuals from the terrorism lists after a detailed review of their legal and security files.
