In a meeting with a military delegation from Kenya Tuesday, Tarras said a joint committee was formed to enhance economic and trade cooperation between Cairo and Nairobi.

Maj. Gen. Tawheed Tawfiq, an assistant to the AOI chairman, said the meeting tackled ways to share the advanced potentials of the Organization with Kenya to help the African country implement its development projects and defense industries.

The two sides also probed the possibility of forming a joint technical committee to determine the best fields of industrial cooperation between Egypt and Kenya, Tawfiq added.

The AOI is willing to share its industrial expertise and potentials with Kenya, Tawfiq affirmed, pointing to a study to allow AOI products to tap the Kenyan market.

The Kenyan delegation said Nairobi is keen on boosting its partnership with Cairo in all industrial and development domains.

Cooperation with the AOI is intended to enhance local industrialization and settle technology in Kenya in accordance with the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation, the delegation made it clear.
