Egypt's FM discusses Libya, Middle East process with Russian security council secretary

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed on Tuesday with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev bolstering bilateral cooperation and a raft of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Shoukry expressed appreciation for Russia’s resumption of flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada airports, Hafez said.

The talks also addressed international and regional issues including the situation in Libya, the long-stymied Middle East peace process and Egypt’s efforts to support reconstruction and development in Gaza, as well as the Syrian crisis and the situation in Afghanistan.
