Shoukry and Blinken discussed regional and international developments and agreed on continuing consultation and coordination on all issues of mutual concern in the near future, a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs read.
The ministers also stressed the need for continuing coordination on the various files between Egypt and the US and working on enhancing these relations in light of the strategic ties binding the two countries.
Egypt and the US in 2022 are marking their centennial of diplomatic relations, established in 1922.
Last month, Shoukry met with Blinken in Washington, during which they discussed means of cementing bilateral relations and tackled a number of regional and international issues.
