Pakistan keen to bolster cooperation with Egypt on trade, energy, climate change: PM Sharif

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has underscored in a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Pakistan Tarek Dahroug on Friday his government’s resolve to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in trade, investment, energy, education and climate change.

PM Sharif lauded the efforts of Dahroug to promote cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields, reported Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

The Pakistani prime minister also congratulated Egypt on the assumption of the presidency of the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP27), which will be held in the Red Sea city of Sharm El-Sheikh in November.

For his part, the Egyptian ambassador conveyed cordial greetings from the leadership and people of Egypt, saying that the country is looking forward to the prime minister’s participation in COP27.

The prime minister extended warm wishes and an invitation to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to visit Pakistan at an early date.
