Celebrating thirty years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Shouky expressed honor for the ongoing relationship between both countries.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed the importance of advancing cooperation relations between Egypt and Kazakhstan in various fields, a follow-up to the phone call that took place between the presidents of the two countries in February 2022.
In February, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed in a phone call with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev several regional issues of mutual concern and ways of boosting bilateral ties, especially in the fields of health, agriculture, tourism, and culture
Moreover, Shoukry hailed Kazakhstan's role in inaugurating the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which aims to form a new formula to enhance confidence and ensure security and stability in Asia.
On his part, Tursunov stressed the importance his country attaches to relations with Egypt and the pivotal Egyptian role in the region. He also reviewed preparations for the upcoming CICA Summit chaired by Kazakhstan.
Tursunov has invited the Arab League (AL) to act as an observer at the sixth CICA Summit, which will be held in Kazakhstan in October.
