This is the first direct commercial flight between Egypt and Pakistan.
The Egyptian plane carried on board about 45 tons of various goods (general cargo), including fruits, clothes, and sports equipment.
On the sidelines of the celebration, the commercial agent for EgyptAir said that Pakistani companies, especially those specialized in sports clothing and equipment, are seeking to take advantage of the new EgyptAir line to facilitate the transfer of their products to African markets, the US, and Canada through the EgyptAir network.
EgyptAir Cargo is the cargo division of the Egyptian national airline EgyptAir. It operates using both its own dedicated aircraft and the cargo-carrying capacity of its sister passenger airline. Its main base is Cairo International Airport.
In February, Dahroug discussed strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
