Singaporean minister looks forward to security cooperation with Egypt, praises country’s stability

Egypt’s Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik asserted on Monday the importance of developing security cooperation with Singapore and exchanging information on combating terrorism, organised crime, and cybercrime, the Ministry of Interior announced.

Tawfik was speaking during his meeting in Cairo on Monday with Singaporean Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.

Meanwhile, the Singaporean minister hailed the stable security conditions in Egypt, thanks to the Egyptian Police's efforts.

He said that he looks forward to developing aspects of cooperation with the Egyptian interior ministry bodies and exchanging information about combatting terrorism to benefit from the ministry's distinguished, security expertise.
