The step comes in implementation of directives made by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to support Palestinians in Gaza, the Egyptian state news agency MENA reported on Sunday.

The operations have been conducted at Shifa Complex and European Gaza Hospital.

The Egyptian delegation comprises consultants in different medical specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine and deformity surgery.

The delegation, received by the health ministry in Gaza, is set to continue its mission for ten days to help Palestinian medical crew and offer all medical services to the Palestinians in the coastal enclave.

Following the mediation of a ceasefire between the Israeli and Palestinian sides to end the 11-day onslaught on Gaza in May 2021, Egypt allocated $500 million to reconstruct the strip.

Egypt has since dispatched massive engineering equipment and crews to participate in the Gaza Strip reconstruction alongside tons of humanitarian aid.
