This came during their meeting in Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace in Cairo on Saturday.

The solution to the Palestinian issue should come in a way that ensures the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in accordance with international resolutions, the two leaders affirmed.

The two leaders also emphasised the importance of consolidating joint Arab efforts to resolve regional crises while guaranteeing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries in the region.

Enhancing relations

President El-Sisi hailed the relations between Egypt and Jordan on the bilateral level and on the trilateral level with Iraq, especially on the economic and commercial levels.

King Abdullah, for his part, stressed Jordan’s keenness to benefit from Egyptian development efforts in all fields through the exchange of expertise and joint investments.

Egypt, Jordan and Iraq have intensified trilateral cooperation in several fields, including energy, industry, agriculture, transport, food security, infrastructure and investment.

The three countries have embarked on a number of vital joint projects, including a power linkage project between the three countries and an industrial city on the Iraqi-Jordanian border, which are close to completion.
