Egypt extends condolences to Greece over train crash

Egypt extended on Wednesday its condolences to Greece over the collision of two trains near the city of Larissa where at least 32 people were killed and 85 injured, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry extended on behalf of the Egyptian government and people its condolence to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

It also reasserted Egypt’s solidarity with the Greek government and people in that painful accident.

Late Tuesday a passenger train carrying hundreds of people, including many university students returning home from holiday, collided at high speed with an oncoming freight train in a fiery wreck in northern Greece near the city of Larissa, killing 32 and injuring at least 85 according to Greek officials.
