Two Egyptian Ummrah pilgrims killed in bus accident in Mecca

Two Egyptian ummrah pilgrims were killed in a bus accident on Thursday in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs tonight.

According to the statement, 50 Egyptians were onboard the bus when the accident took place on Al-Jumum Road.

The statement added that the foreign ministry is working to determine how many Egyptians were among 40 passengers who reportedly injured in the accident.

Staff at the Egyptian Consulate in Jeddah rushed to Mecca to provide all necessary consular and health care support to any Egyptian victims, added the statement.

The foreign ministry also sent sincere condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to those injured, promising all necessary support to all of the victims and their families.
