This comes as part of an initiative led by African heads of state to facilitate peace talks to settle the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
South African President Cyril Ramasphosa announced the initiative in May.
The joint African initiative includes the heads of state of South Africa, Senegal, Comoros, Uganda, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, alongside Egypt.
