The coalition -- comprising various Sudanese political and rebel factions -- said all international and regional efforts meant to resolve the crisis have failed due to their lack of impartiality.
This was the FFC's first meeting since the outbreak of the war in mid-April, meant to draft an initiative to end the conflict.
The FFC was established in 2019 following the 2018 civil protests and subsequent uprising.
At the press conference concluding the meeting in Cairo, the FFC stressed their solidarity with the army, which is the representative of the sovereignty of Sudan and the only party capable of restoring the country to safety.
Head of Sudan’s Democratic Bloc and Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party Jaafar Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Mirghani said Sudan has reached a critical juncture at the political, economic, social, and environmental levels.
Al-Mirghani called for unifying the domestic front by engaging in serious discussions to achieve stability and security.
He demanded an immediate and complete ceasefire and the formation of a caretaker government.
Al-Mirghani stressed that all international and regional efforts should recognize the full sovereignty of his country, consider the conflict an internal matter, and help prevent the disintegration of Sudan.
The head of Sudan’s National Movement Forces Al-Tijani Al-Sisi said the FFC held a workshop in Cairo a few months ago to agree on a blueprint to save the country.
The Sudanese official thanked Egypt for hosting the Sudanese who fled war in their home country. He also thanked Chad for receiving displaced Darfur people.
The main objective of the initiative is to create a national framework for the Sudanese political powers to hold a transparent national dialogue, he added.
The official noted that all political powers in Sudan wish to end the current war.
Meanwhile, FFC member Mohamed Abdul-Karim said "there is no neutrality in this war. Everyone should stand with the Armed Forces."
He urged Sudan parties to condemn the "grave violations" committed by the Rapid Support Forces.
Abdul-Kareem called for forming a competent government and unifying all political powers in the country.
The FFC thanked Egypt for hosting the conference and affirmed Egypt’s pivotal role in helping to end the war in Sudan.
The FFC meeting in Cairo is part of Egypt’s efforts to negotiate a peaceful end to the conflict.
Earlier in June Egypt hosted the Sudan's Neighbouring Countries' Summit to address the crisis, where the countries have agreed during the summit to form a ministerial mechanism comprising the foreign ministers of Sudan’s neighbours to address the conflict which has had severe implications on the participating nations.
The June summit brought together Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central Africa, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea, along with the secretary-general of the Arab League and the African Union Commission chairperson.
The warring parties welcomed the results of the meeting where it was agreed that Sudan’s neighbouring countries will form a ministerial mechanism comprising foreign ministers to address the conflict.
