On Thursday, Egypt announced they designated the El-Arish International Airport to receive international humanitarian assistance intended for Gaza.

The airport is located in North Sinai, about 45 kilometres west of the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza.

The airport received its first delivery of relief from Jordan on Thursday.

Turkey delivered another shipment on Friday, according to news reports.

Syndicate solidarity

Egypt’s Journalists Syndicate called on all members who wish to monitor and document Israeli violations against civilians in Gaza to attend a meeting at noon on Saturday at the syndicate’s headquarters in downtown Cairo.

The meeting will be dedicated to preparing a monitoring report covering Israeli violations and Western media bias, according to syndicate Chairman Khaled El-Balshy

The published report, including translations, will be released in a press conference within days.

Recounting the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, El-Balshy pointed out that over 2,800 buildings have been destroyed by Israeli bombardment, displacing hundreds of thousands and killing an untold number, mainly women and children.

“All of this is happening while Western media overlooks the situation in Gaza, focusing on the losses of the occupying aggressor and unfairly blaming the victims,” he added.

On Thursday, tens of Egyptian journalists protested in support of Palestinians amid the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against the civilians in the Gaza Strip at the syndicate.

Meanwhile, the Pharmacists Syndicate announced that it is calling upon all pharmaceutical companies and factories in Egypt to supply the required medicines and medical supplies to the Gaza Strip.

The syndicate is also opening its doors to receive donations of such supplies.
