According to a statement released by the Egyptian Presidency, in the phone call, El-Sisi and Christodoulides reviewed the results of Egypt's intensive communications with various parties to secure a ceasefire and ensure immediate access to humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.
This comes in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the territory, added the statement.
Additionally, El-Sisi and Christodoulides discussed advancing the peace process toward a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution.
This is the second time within ten days that El-Sisi and Christodoulides discussed the Israeli war on Gaza over the phone.
