The humanitarian aid trucks were accompanied by two ambulances provided by Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund, 15 trucks containing a Jordanian field hospital, and 11 trucks containing an Emirati field hospital.
Rashwan also mentioned that Egypt received 17 injured Palestinians with their 15 escorts and 12 others who travelled to the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
He stated that a total of 134 Palestinians who were stranded in Egypt returned to Gaza upon their request.
Rashwan concluded his statements by highlighting the success of the first day of the ceasefire, which saw the complete cessation of gunfire and Israeli overflights of the strip.
Furthermore, the exchange of prisoners and detainees was completed under full Egyptian supervision.
On Friday evening, Egypt secured the release of 12 Thai nationals and 13 Israelis, including children and women, who were held in captivity in Gaza.
