On Friday and Saturday, approximately 84 tons of cooking gas entered the sector, contributing to a relative improvement in electricity and water services.
Al-Qahera News channel reported that five planes loaded with humanitarian aid arrived at El-Arish Airport on Sunday: three from Qatar, two from Saudi Arabia, and one from Belgium, in preparation for transferring their cargoes to the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, on Sunday, two relief planes from the Kuwaiti airlift took off, heading to El-Arish Airport, equipped with food, medical supplies, and two ambulances to provide assistance to Gaza.
On Wednesday, Israel and Hamas reached a truce agreement on a 4-day humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza through Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation.
The truce agreement involves a stop to all hostilities in Gaza and the entry of humanitarian aid to 2.4 million Palestinians in the besieged strip.
The agreement stipulates the release of 50 Israeli captives, including women and children. In return, 150 Palestinian political prisoners and detainees, including women and children, would be released from Israeli detention.
According to Hamas, the truce agreement involves the entry of 200 trucks daily, carrying humanitarian aid, including water, food, medical supplies, and fuel, to 2.4 million Palestinians in the strip.
The agreement also gives room for an extension and the swap of more detainees from both sides.
On Friday, as per the agreement, Hamas released 13 of its Israeli captives and Israel released 39 Palestinian political prisoners out of nearly 8000 in its jails.
Moreover, as per an Egyptian mediation, Hamas also released 11 Asian workers – 10 Thai and one Filipino – who were taken captive on 7 October.
Until last Friday, the Palestinian side received 2,468 tons of medicines and medical supplies, 8,440 tons of food, 658 tons of fuel, 6,345 tons of water, and other relief materials totaling 1,885 tons, according to Egypt's official figures.
The aid also included 82 tents, 18 ambulances, and 1,849 trucks. Egypt has welcomed approximately 236 injured Palestinians along with 273 accompanying them, as well as 8,514 foreign nationals and 1,256 Egyptians.
