Rashwan added in a media statement that Egypt is exerting maximum efforts with its partners to swiftly return to the ceasefire and extend it further to address the critical humanitarian conditions faced by Palestinians in Gaza that reached catastrophic levels.
He said that the goal of Egypt was either to halt the war against them or expedite the entry of humanitarian and relief aid to them.

He urged everyone to follow updates issued by the relevant Egyptian official authorities.
On Saturday, Israel continued its bombardment of the strip for a second day after the collapse of the truce.
The Palestinian health ministry reported that the death toll from the Israeli attacks increased to at least 200 over the past 24 hours, while another 650 people were injured.
Many of the strikes were focused in the south of the strip, including Khan Younis, where the Israeli army said it struck more than 50 targets with air, ground, and naval bombardment.
