El-Sisi made his remarks during a meeting with Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi in Cairo.
They discussed the latest regional and international developments, especially the escalating Israeli military operations in Gaza.
El-Sisi and Wang expressed their “categorical” rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians from their lands, according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.
“Egypt and China also underscored their positions about the vital need to comply with international law, reiterating their vehement and categorical rejection of individual and collective forced transfer or forced displacement of the Palestinians from their lands,” read the statement.
They also agreed on the necessity of addressing the root causes of the Palestinian issue through a just and comprehensive settlement and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution.
They also expressed their support for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations, added the statement.
They also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and enforce the delivery of relief into the Gaza Strip, in line with the relevant UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions.
Wang also praised the political role played by Egypt during the crisis as well as its efforts to mobilize and deliver humanitarian aid to the strip.
Egypt follows up on Israel's case at ICJ
The Chinese minister held a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry earlier today. During the presser, Shoukry said that the expansion of the Israeli military actions has caused severe damage in the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that Egypt is closely monitoring South Africa's case against Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Shoukry underlined the importance of recognizing the Palestinian state as a crucial step towards ending violence in the region.
Shoukry also reaffirmed Cairo's full rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their lands, rejecting as well any attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
"The Palestinian people must be protected from acts of genocide," he stressed.
From his side, the Chinese official expressed Beijing's commitment to supporting Egypt, emphasizing the necessity to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to find a just solution to the Palestinian cause.
"It is necessary to insist on the establishment of an independent, fully sovereign state of Palestine on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital," Wang said during the presser.
A Call for Int’l Summit
Moreover, Shoukry and Wang advocated for an international summit for peace to find a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Palestinian cause.
The pair called for ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
They also urged the international community and international donors to provide all means of support to the Palestinian National Authority in fulfilling its responsibilities across the entire occupied Palestinian territory.
Wang's visit to Egypt is part of an African tour that will see him also visit Tunisia, Togo and Ivory Coast before he heads to Brazil and Jamaica.
China has historically been sympathetic to the Palestinian cause and supportive of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Since the start of its war on Gaza in early October, Israel has killed more than 23,000 casualties in Gaza, most of whom are women and children, wounded more than 59,000, and displaced over 1.5 million others
