During a phone call with the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, El-Sisi stressed that regional stability is linked to reaching a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, ultimately leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
El-Sisi reviewed Cairo's efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and give access to humanitarian aid, urging the international community to assume its responsibilities in this regard, according to the Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy,
From her side, the Italian prime minister expressed her country's appreciation for the Egyptian efforts to calm the situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as its ongoing communications with all parties to restore regional security and stability.
Earlier on Friday, Egypt welcomed the ruling issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which demands Israel take several immediate measures to protect Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, prevent genocidal acts in its war on Gaza, and allow humanitarian aid into the strip, urging Israel to implement them.
