According to the statement by the Zakat and Charity House, this is the fifth such aid convoy and the largest to date.
The trucks are in North Sinai and will enter through the Rafah Border Crossing.
Abdel-Aleem Qashta, the organization’s spokesperson, emphasized that the aid will assist the Palestinian people to observe fasting during the month of Ramadan and endure the occupation.
The charity’s previous aid convoys have delivered 4,000 tons tons of humanitarian aid since 7 October, Qashta added.
The last convoy was dispatched in late December.
"The children of Gaza suffer from dehydration and malnutrition, so we are working through our convoys to deliver infant essentials such as milk, diapers, medicines, etc," he stated.
The Ramadan convoy was funded by donations from people in 80 countries as part of the charity’s Save Gaza campaign.
The largest donations came from Indonesia, India, England, Saudi Arabia, France, China, Bangladesh, Canada, and Germany.
Individuals wishing to donate from Egypt or around the world can visit the charity’s website.
The statement concluded by emphasizing it will continue to provide aid until the war ends and reconstruction begins.
