According to the Egyptian Presidency, the two leaders held a meeting to discuss ways to provide sufficient humanitarian aid to alleviate Gaza's significant human suffering. El-Sisi and Bin Zayed agreed that empowering the two-state solution is necessary to achieve justice, security, and stability in the region.

Since the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Egyptian and Emirati air forces have been airdropping humanitarian aid daily, especially in North Gaza. In addition to Gaza, the two presidents also discussed the latest developments in other regional issues of common interest.

They also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE to strengthen their strategic partnership across various economic, investment, development, and political sectors.

A month ago, Egyptian and Emirati investors signed a historic deal to build a multi-billion-dollar new city, Ras El Hekma, as a massive urban, business, and tourism centre on the country's North Coast.

Located west of Alexandria on the North Coast, the project will be implemented by the New Urban Communities Authority and the Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company, which the Government of Abu Dhabi owns.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated that the new project will inject $35 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) into the economy within two months, marking the largest FDI influx in the country's history.
