The number includes 35 Palestinian patients along with 32 individuals accompanying them.

The patients were transferred from the Kamal Adwan, European, Najjar, and Turkish hospitals in the Gaza Strip. They will receive treatment at Egyptian hospitals in North Sinai, Ismailia, Suez, Port Said, Cairo, Giza, Sharqiya, and Qalioubiya.

The number also includes 375 Palestinians holding residency permits in Egypt and several Arab and foreign countries, 50 Egyptians, and an unspecified number of foreign nationals.

The source highlighted that Egypt has so far received over 4,000 injured and sick Gazans for treatment in Egyptian hospitals and other countries since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in October, along with approximately 6,000 of their companions.

Moreover, around 29,000 Palestinians, foreign nationals, dual citizens, and about 7,000 Egyptians stranded in the Gaza Strip have passed through the crossing.

Although Egypt is currently in the midst of a six-day break for Eid Al-Fitr through Sunday, the Rafah crossing has remained open to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as well as the movement of Palestinians, Egyptians and Foreigners from Gaza to Egypt.
