The forum, taking place on Thursday in the Chinese capital, will feature the participation of Egypt President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Tunisia President Kais Saied, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

Founded in 2004, the China-Arab Forum is a framework for dialogue and cooperation between Arab countries and China.

Earlier Monday, Shoukry held several meetings with officials in the Belgian capital, including the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland and the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.

In addition, the Egyptian foreign minister met with several of his European counterparts, including the Irish Foreign Minister Micheál Martin and the Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares.

Shoukry praised both countries' decision to recognise the Palestinian state.

Furthermore, he discussed the latest regional developments, most notably the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, with Italy's FM Antonio Tajani, Germany's FM Annalena Baerbock, and Sweden's FM Tobias Billström.

Shoukry's meetings touched on ways to find a political path to revive the peace process, implement the two-state solution, and establish an independent Palestinian State on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
