Sisi congratulates India’s Prime Minister Modi on his re-election

Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi congratulated on Wednesday Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his re-election for a new term.

In a telegram that was shared on his social media accounts, El-Sisi said “Egypt looks forward to working together in the coming years to open up broader prospects for enhancing the historical relations the two countries and their friendly peoples share, and to leveraging the potential available for their joint efforts.”

El-Sisi also wished the Indian Prime Minister success and the Indian people further development and prosperity.

In June 2023, during his first visit to Cairo, Indian Prime Minister Modi and President El-Sisi signed a joint declaration to raise the level of cooperation between the two countries to a strategic partnership.
