The brutal Israeli attacks are a war crime, Allam, who is also the president of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, said in a statement on Sunday.
The mufti said that Israeli is targeting innocent civilians in a flagrant violation of international law and human conscience.
“The Israeli entity thirsts for more shedding of the blood of children, women, the elderly and innocent people, and targeting hospitals and places of worship in full view of the entire world,” Allam said.
“This confirms we are facing war crimes and full-fledged genocide,” he continued.
He said that the Israeli attack on the camp followed a series of Israeli crimes against Palestinians amid complete silence from the international community.
Such attacks are “a stain on the conscience of humanity,” he added.
The number of victims from the Nuseirat massacre has risen to 270 people killed and more than 700 wounded, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Sunday.
On Saturday, Egypt, condemned in the strongest terms the attack on the camp, saying it "constitutes a blatant violation of all provisions of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as all values of humanity and human rights.”
“Egypt held Israel legally and morally responsible for this flagrant assault, demanding that Israel comply with its obligations as an occupying power and cease the indiscriminate targeting of Palestinian civilians, including those in areas where they have been displaced,” the statement said.
Israel's war on Gaza has killed more than 36,801 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since 7 October.
The Israeli bombardment and ground invasion have brought widespread devastation to Gaza, with one in 20 people dead or wounded, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Most of Gaza's 2.4 million inhabitants are displaced.
Israel has been blocking or delaying the entry of food, water, medicines and fuel into Gaza, depriving people of lifesaving supplies.
