During a meeting with Palestine's Minister of Social Development Samah Abdul Rahim, both sides discussed enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest and coordinating services for Palestinians coming through the Rafah border crossing, especially children.

The meeting was held in Cairo on the sideline of the third Arab Forum for Equality under the theme "Addressing Inequality in Times of Multiple Crises."

During the meeting, El-Qabbaj further underscored the efforts of the Social Solidarity Ministry in providing various services to Palestinian refugees in Egypt in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.

For her part, the Palestinian Minister thanked Egypt for its continuous support of the Palestinian cause.

She also pointed out the relief plan that was submitted to the Arab League, which includes emergency response and comprehensive relief.

In this regard, Abdul Rahim stressed the need to open all land crossings, bring in aid, and provide safe conditions for the international relief agencies in Gaza.

Over 44,000 injured Palestinians from Gaza have been treated at Egyptian hospitals since the outbreak of the war, nearly a quarter of whom are children.

According to the Egyptian health ministry, the injured children have been vaccinated against polio, measles, rubella, and mumps.
