“The bombing adds to a long record of human rights abuses against Palestinians,” the official Spokesperson of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a post on "X”.

He added that the international community has to unite to protect the Palestinian people.

At least 29 people were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli strike on Al-Awda school on Tuesday.

This is the fourth attack on the school, which had been turned into a shelter for displaced Palestinians, in as many days.

Al-Jazeera TV channel released a video on Tuesday showing the moment the school was hit by the strike just as a football game was being played in its yard.

According to UNRWA, more than 500 people have been killed in schools and other shelters it runs in Gaza since Israel's war began on 7 October.
