In the statement, Egypt urged Israel to halt its disregard for the lives of Palestinian civilians and to uphold essential humanitarian standards as mandated by international law.
The foreign ministry added that Israel's actions against unarmed civilians are unacceptable and cannot be justified or limited by any statute of limitations.
Egypt also expressed strong condemnation of the global silence surrounding Israel's crimes, warning that these ongoing violations complicate efforts towards reaching a ceasefire in Gaza.
At least 71 people were killed and 289 people wounded Saturday in an Israeli strike on a displacement camp in Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis.
The area had been designated as a safe zone by the Israeli army when it ordered the evacuation of the southernmost Gaza city of Rafah.
On Thursday, US President Joe Biden said that representatives from both Hamas and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire framework.
A report published by Reuters on Friday said Egypt has been making great efforts in ongoing ceasefire efforts, although some points of disagreement continue to hinder substantial progress.
The negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Cairo and Doha with the support of the US, aim to end Israel's nine-month war, see the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and facilitate a captive-prisoner exchange.
