The meeting marked the start of the implementation of Egyptian-American cooperation in communications engineering and cybersecurity education, offering bachelor's and master's degrees in these fields in collaboration with Purdue University.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between Egypt and the US in software sciences and information infrastructure systems, aligning with economic development priorities, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs.
Aref and Bahgat expressed their gratitude to the ministry for its pivotal role in strengthening communication between Egyptian and American universities and encouraging partnerships in the economy, science, culture, education, and development.
Last week, Ambassador Aboul-Enein discussed ways to advance Egyptian-American academic cooperation with the Vice President of the Association of Egyptian-American Scholars in the US Professor Dr. Ayman El-Baz.
They explored strategies to enhance cooperation between the two countries by leveraging and attracting Egyptian expertise from major American universities in various fields, such as medicine, engineering, and artificial intelligence (AI).
