Over 20 people have been killed in a series of deadly bombings in Mogadishu and Afgooye on Saturday.
Egypt expressed its condolences and solidarity with the government and families of the victims of this shameful terrorist attack, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The country also affirmed its full support for the Horn of Africa nation in its efforts to combat terrorism and achieve security and stability for the brotherly Somali people.
At least eight people were killed and several others wounded in two explosions in Mogadishu on Saturday, according to media reports.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts.
Al-Shabab, an Al-Qaeda-linked armed group, has been waging a prolonged insurgency since 2007 in a bid to overthrow Somalia's central government.
It has committed numerous bombings and other attacks across the country over the past 17 years.
According to reports, the latest incident occurred earlier in August, when at least 32 people were killed and around 63 others wounded in a suicide bombing and gun attack on a popular beach in Mogadishu.
