Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the government and people of Nigeria, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured, the statement added.
Egypt affrimed its full solidarity and support for Nigeria's efforts to combat all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, and achieve security and stability.
On Sunday’s attack, at least 81 people were killed, a local official said.
Abdulkarim Dungus, a Yobe state police spokesman added that “around 150 suspected Boko Haram terrorists armed with rifles and RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades) attacked Mafa ward on more than 50 motorcycles on Sunday.”
Many people were killed, numerous shops and houses were set on fire, though the exact number of casualties is still being determined, Dungus explained.
