Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Morocco's counterpart Minister Nasser Bourita
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FM Abdelatty discussed in the call he received from Bourita the efforts being made to achieve a ceasefire, de-escalate tensions, and prevent the region from sliding into a full-scale regional war.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's full solidarity with Lebanon and its support for its national institutions during this critical time, underscoring the importance of preserving Lebanon's stability, unity, and sovereignty.
He also stressed the rejection of any attempts to impose new realities on the ground that could undermine Lebanon's sovereignty, warning that the current escalation poses a serious threat to the region, which could lead to severe security and humanitarian consequences.
