Abdelatty also expressed Egypt’s complete rejection of Israeli violations against the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Moreover, he stressed the urgent need to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon and guarantee access to humanitarian and relief aid without Israeli hindrances.

The minister also urged efforts to reduce regional tensions and prevent them from descending into a full-scale war.

Furthermore, Egypt’s top diplomat emphasized the importance of fully implementing the UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701 by all parties without selectivity.

Abdelatty also highlighted the need to end Lebanon's presidential vacancy, while supporting Lebanese institutions, including the Lebanese army.

Additionally, both ministers discussed the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing brutal Israeli war.

FM Abdelatty condemned Israel's announcement of confiscating lands belonging to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jerusalem, intending to turn it into a new illegal settlement outpost.

He warned against Israel's persistent attempts to obstruct UNRWA’s efforts to support Palestinian refugees and its systematic campaign to undermine and discredit the agency.

The discussions come amid the increasing tensions in the Middle East and the Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, with rising concerns about the possibility of a large-scale regional conflict.
