This came during the meeting of the two leaders on the sidelines of the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russian Federation.
According to the Egyptian Presidency, El-Sisi and Xi Jinping view establishing the Palestinian state via a political process following international legitimacy resolutions as the optimal solution to ensure sustainable security in the region.
The two presidents reviewed regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of immediate action to de-escalate tension and prevent the expansion of conflict to avoid a regional war that could have negative repercussions for all parties involved.
El-Sisi and Jinping also reviewed the overall bilateral relations and ways to enhance them across various fields and strengthen coordination between the two countries within multilateral frameworks, particularly the BRICS.
The two leaders commended the noticeable progress and positive milestones in their countries' relations since establishing their comprehensive strategic partnership in 2014, reaffirming their commitment to building on the momentum generated by President El-Sisi’s state visit to China in May 2024.
President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for China's participation in many major economic projects in Egypt, particularly in infrastructure, transportation, and railways.
He also expressed Egypt's keenness to continue fruitful cooperation with China in manufacturing and technology transfer.
