Israel launched a series of air strikes on Iran, targeting military bases and missile sites in what it described as a response to Tehran's retaliatory attack in October.
Tehran said the attack caused "limited" damage and reported the death of two soldiers.
El-Sisi and Macron reviewed ongoing efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and stressed the urgent need to provide sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid to civilians.
They also highlighted the importance of respecting Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, reaffirming their support for Lebanese state institutions.
Israel has killed since 7 October 2023 over 42,924 people in the Gaza Strip and injured more than 100,833, mainly women and children.
As of mid-September, Israel expanded its attacks to Lebanon, following nearly a year of cross-border exchanges with Hezbollah.
Tel Aviv conducted extensive airstrikes across Lebanon, which led to over 2,634 deaths and more than 10,000 injuries. Israel has also attacked Lebanese army soldiers and deliberately targeted the UN peacekeepers force (UNIFIL) operating along the volatile southern border.
On 31 July, Israel assassinated Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and on 27 September, it also targeted Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Revolutionary Guards general Abbas Nilforushan in an airstrike on Beirut's southern suburbs.
Iran launched a missile barrage at Israel in retaliation in October.
