In a foreign ministry statement, Egypt strongly condemned these blatant assaults, which have displaced thousands from their homes and represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

According to the statement, Egypt reaffirmed the necessity of preserving Sudan’s national institutions, considering them the state's backbone and the only means to safeguard its unity and security.

The statement also reiterated Egypt's call for an immediate ceasefire and the implementation of the Jeddah Declaration's principles to protect the Sudanese people’s resources.

"Egypt urges the international community to take serious humanitarian actions and pursue a comprehensive political solution that aligns with the aspirations of the Sudanese people," the statement read.

Additionally, it added that Egypt affirmed its commitment, alongside international partners, to support Sudan in overcoming this crisis and protecting the lives of its citizens.
