The ministry stated that the repeated targeting of vital UNRWA facilities in the occupied Palestinian territories constitutes a blatant violation of international law and reflects a disregard for the global community.

On 16 November, an Israeli strike targeted a school in Gaza City's Shati refugee camp, which was sheltering displaced families. The attack resulted in the deaths of 10 Palestinians and left at least 20 others injured.

In its statement, Egypt criticized the international community for its inability to uphold fundamental human values, citing a stark double standard in its responses.

Egypt reiterated the need for activating international accountability mechanisms, urging all parties within the international community to take a decisive stance against the ongoing Israeli aggression and its associated crimes.

Additionally, the ministry called on the international community to compel Israel to adhere to international law and humanitarian principles to halt the grave humanitarian crisis, which threatens peace and stability in the Gaza Strip and beyond.

On Lebanon, Egypt also warned of the Israeli violations’ implications for Lebanon, as the aggression on Gaza risks further escalation in undermining the sovereignty of Lebanon, thereby deepening the regional situation.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in over 44,000 Palestinian deaths, with 70 percent being women and children.

Furthermore, Egypt condemned the Israeli violations in Lebanon, warning that they could have severe implications for worsening regional tensions.

The Israeli aggression in Lebanon has left more than 3,000 people killed and over 14,000 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, and displaced some 1.2 million people in more than a year.
