FM Abdelatty, Blinken stress need for post-war Gaza reconstruction path
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed in a meeting on Tuesday stressed the importance of establishing a path for the post-conflict period that provides governance, security, and reconstruction for Gaza.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, focused on the situation in the Middle East and efforts to bring the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon to an end.
A brief statement from the US Department of State said Blinken underscored the urgency of securing the release of all captives and increasing and sustaining the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the strip.
Both top diplomats also discussed efforts to reach a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Lebanon that fully implements United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The ministers asserted that the resolution should allow citizens on both sides of the border to return to their homes, the statement added.
