In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Egypt criticized Israel for deliberately bombing and destroying numerous sites, bases, weapons, equipment, and military systems across Syria in the past two days.

Egypt also denounced Israel for consolidating its illegal presence and expanding its control over occupied areas deep within Syrian territory, the statement added.

According to the statement, Egypt also said it categorically rejects Israel's exploitation of Syria's internal struggle and instability to undermine the nation's resources and occupy lands.

The statement further described the Israeli assaults as a blatant and systematic violation of international law, reflecting a continued policy of regional arrogance.

Similarly, Egypt warned of the grave consequences of Israel's reckless policies in the region, calling on the United Nations Security Council, the international community, and influential global powers to curb Israel's escalation in Syria and force it to respect the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian state.

On Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty condemned in a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Israel's seizure of Syrian territory, describing it as an occupation and pressing for international action to halt this aggression.

Egypt condemned Israel on Monday for seizing the demilitarized zone with Syria and the adjacent commanding sites following the fall of Damascus to insurgents.

The Israeli military said on Tuesday that it conducted about 480 strikes over the past 48 hours on strategic military targets in Syria.

"Within the last 48 hours, the Israeli army struck most of the strategic weapons stockpiles in Syria, preventing them from falling into the hands of terrorist elements," the Israeli military said in a statement.

It added that the targets included 15 naval vessels, anti-aircraft batteries, and weapons production sites in several cities.
