According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty expressed Egypt's aspiration to enhance its strong relations with Canada. He emphasized the importance of intensifying economic cooperation and boosting trade and investment ties between the two countries.

In addition, Abdelatty proposed holding a new round of political consultations in April 2025 and announced Egypt's intention to send a delegation of Egyptian business leaders from the Egyptian-Canadian Business Council alongside these consultations.

He also reviewed the Egyptian government's steps to advance political and economic reform.

Moreover, Abdelatty outlined Egypt's efforts to improve human rights, including releasing the third executive report on the National Human Rights Strategy, a copy of which he handed to Ehsassi.

He discussed ongoing economic reform policies and measures to create a business-friendly environment and encourage direct investment in Egypt.

Furthermore, Abdelatty pointed out that Egypt's decision to cancel visa requirements for Canadian citizens reflects a shared commitment to promoting Canadian visits to Egypt, boosting trade, investment, and tourism, and advancing relations to meet the mutual aspirations of both countries.

The two sides also exchanged perspectives on the evolving regional situation and Egypt's strategic challenges.
