He praised Carter as a symbol of humanitarian efforts and diplomacy, noting that his profound faith in peace and justice has inspired many individuals and institutions worldwide to follow his footsteps.
El-Sisi also highlighted Carter's role in achieving the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel, affirming that his contributions are carved in history.
Moreover, the Egyptian president hailed Carter’s humanitarian work as a lofty example of love, peace, and brotherhood.
“His enduring legacy ensures he will be remembered as one of the world's most prominent leaders in service to humanity,” he added.
Carter, the 39th president of the United States, passed away on Sunday at the age of 100.
The longest-lived president of the US brokered the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, dubbed the Camp David Accords, in 1979.
