The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue expressed its condemnation of US President Donald Trump's statements, which incited the idea of “cleaning out" Gaza of its Palestinian population and forcibly displacing them to Egypt and Jordan.

These statements have found no support among the international community, apart from the extreme right and Israeli settlers, the board said in a statement on Monday evening.

It added that they constitute a blatant and insulting challenge to the global community and resolutions of international legitimacy issued since the 1948 Palestinian displacement.

These resolutions affirm that Palestinians are a people with occupied lands and uphold their inalienable right to establish an independent and unified state on all the West Bank and Gaza Strip territories within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The National Dialogue unequivocally rejects any displacement, transfer, or resettlement of Palestinians, whether temporary or permanent, according to the statement.

This rejection stems not only from the fact that such actions constitute war crimes under international law but also because they would effectively liquidate the Palestinian cause, which is the cause of causes for all Arabs, the statement noted.

Furthermore, the board reiterated its unwavering support for Egypt's political leadership, hailing its principled and steadfast stance in championing the Palestinian cause and people by all available political and humanitarian means.

It also praised the Egyptian leadership's immediate condemnation of Israeli aggression on Gaza and its resolute opposition to any attempt to displace Palestinians from their land, which would lead to the liquidation of their cause.

On Saturday evening, speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he had told Jordan's King Abdullah II: "I'd love you to take on more because I'm looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it's a mess, it's a real mess."

Trump said he planned to present the same proposal to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday.

"You're talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing," he stated.
