The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Cairo's deep condolences to the Sudanese people and the families of the victims.

On Friday, a drone attack on the Saudi Hospital in El-Fasher in the Darfur region killed 70 people and injured dozens.

Since April 2023, tens of thousands of Sudanese have been killed and 12 million uprooted due to the ongoing war between the Sudanese National Army and the Rapid Support Forces militias.
Shelling and bombs on homes and civilians have decimated the country's already fragile infrastructure.
The war has left Sudan grappling with one of the world's largest humanitarian crises, with over 24.6 million people, about half the population, facing acute food insecurity.
Egypt has been the largest host country for Sudanese refugees fleeing the conflict in Sudan.
