Madbouly's remarks came during a meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Mohammed Mustafa in Cairo, where they discussed the current situation in Gaza and reconstruction efforts.
The Egyptian PM highlighted the capabilities of Egyptian companies in supporting reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, according to the Egyptian cabinet.
After 15 months of a devastating war against Gaza, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported in January that 92 percent of homes in the strip have been destroyed. Previous estimates from the UN have estimated the time needed to reconstruct Gaza to be over 16 years.
Madbouly also highlighted Egypt's steadfast stance in rejecting any proposal aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from Gaza to any other place.
The Egyptian PM reaffirmed Cairo's unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state based on June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Madbouly reiterated to his Palestinian counterpart Egypt's commitment to advancing Palestinian interests, paving the way for the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to establish a Palestinian state, the Egyptian cabinet said.

Egypt steadfast support
For his part, the Palestinian PM expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause and its provision of humanitarian aid since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023.
He also agreed with the Egyptian PM's stance on rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people, stressing the importance of reconstructing the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Mustafa praised the international community's support and President El-Sisi's commitment to the Palestinian people's legitimate rights.
The Palestinian PM also highlighted the efforts undertaken by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to assess the destruction caused by the Israeli war in Gaza.
He noted the PA's efforts to determine reconstruction needs and assist the Palestinian people in coordination with various international institutions.
Mustafa affirmed that the Palestinian government would cooperate with the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to resume its services for Palestinians in Gaza.
