According to the Egyptian Foreign, during the call, Abdelatty held with Szijjárto, he praised the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and Hungary and welcomed the upcoming fifth round of the Egyptian-Hungarian Joint Economic Committee, scheduled to take place in Cairo in April 2025.
He also commended the progress in parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and emphasized Egypt’s commitment to reaching an agreement on facilitating Egyptian labor migration to Hungary, given Egypt’s experience in supplying skilled workers to European Union countries.
Additionally, Abdelatty thanked Hungary for its supportive stance toward Egypt within the European Union, highlighting Egypt’s pivotal role in ensuring security and stability in the Middle East and protecting Europe from the risks of irregular migration.
The two ministers also exchanged views on key regional developments, including the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, Egypt’s efforts to broker a ceasefire agreement, security in the Red Sea, Sahel and Sahara region stability, and trilateral cooperation in Africa.
